The Williams College Department of Music will present a senior recital featuring Amanda Keating on Sunday, April 17 at 2 p.m. in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the Williams College campus. This free event is open to the public.
Keating will be singing music by Gabriel Fauré, Franz Liszt, Hugo Wolf, Igor Stravinsky, Samuel Barber, and Mozart.
She will be accompanied by pianists Matthew Zhou '12 and Eric Kang '09. Tenor Peter Skipper '13 joins her on Mozart’s Papagena! Papageno!
Amanda is a theater major with a concentration in French. She has studied voice since high school, and this recital is a culmination of her vocal studies at Williams with Erin Casey and Andy Truex. At Williams, she has worked a great deal with Williams Theatre and Cap & Bells as a director, designer, choreographer, and performer, and this past year served as co-artistic director of Cap & Bells. After graduation, Amanda hopes to pursue a career in theater. This spring, Amanda is also directing Moises Kaufman’s Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde through Cap & Bells.
