Matthew Gold is a member of the percussion trio TimeTable, the Glass Farm Ensemble, and the multi-media chamber group Sequitur.  An advocate of new music he has commissioned and premiered numerous new works and has performed frequently with the New York New Music Ensemble, the Ahn Trio, the SEM Ensemble, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Mark Morris Dance Group, Alarm Will Sound, the Argento Chamber Ensemble, New Juilliard Ensemble, and has been a member of the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble.  Mr. Gold was also the percussionist for the Lincoln Center Theater production, The Light in the Piazza.  He has been a featured artist and faculty member at festivals including the Institute and Festival for Contemporary Performance at the Mannes College of Music and at the Juilliard School Summer Percussion Seminar and has given master classes at many universities and conservatories.  His recordings include those for labels such as EMI, Koch, New World, Albany Records, and Aeon.  Mr. Gold is an adjunct instructor of percussion at Williams College where he also directs the Williams Percussion Ensemble and serves as principal percussionist in the Berkshire Symphony.
