Biography

Marlene Walt is an Artist Associate in Voice at Williams College. She holds a B.Music in Voice from Anna Maria College, an M.A.T. in Music from Smith College. She has completed advanced study at Berkshire Music Center, Tanglewood. Her teachers include Martin Lies, Phyllis Curtin, and vocal coaches Janet Bookspan and Sam Morgenstern. She is a frequent recitalist, solo orchestral and operatic performer. She has premiered Tom Johnson’s opera Sopranos Only and Vivien Fine’s Songs of Love and War.

She is a member of the Williams Chamber Players and is co-director o the Williamstown Chamber Concerts. She is a Choral Director at Mt. Greylock Regional High School. Previously, she was Visiting Instructor of Voice at Smith College and at North Adams State College.
