Biography

Jenny spent four years as the Concert and Event Manager for the department before shifting into the newly created position of Orchestra Manager of the Berkshire Symphony, Visiting Artist Coordinator, and Choir Coordinator.

Jenny joined the Theatre Department in 2014 as the Stage Management Mentor. She enjoys mentoring the student stage managers one on one. She also directed the opening presentation for Claiming Williams 2014 featuring over 100 students. She sat on the Williams Staff Advisory Council for three years and will begin a 2-year term on the Committee on Diversity and Community in the fall of 2014. Jenny and husband, John Wheeler, are also the musical contractors for the Williamstown Theatre Festival as well as other area projects.

She hails from New York City and escaped to the Berkshires in the summer of 2006 after several years of stage managing on Broadway. Shows include the most recent revival of Fiddler on the Roof as well as Our Town (with Paul Newman), Cabaret, Chicago, Neil Simon’s The Dinner Party (with Henry Winkler and the beloved John Ritter), MacBeth (with Kelsey Grammar), Cats, Rent, Ragtime and Tarzan. She stage managed for the Williamstown Theatre Festival during the 2006, 2007, and 2012 and continues to stage manage in the corporate world.

Jenny is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BA in English Literature and minors in Mathematics and Dance. She did her masters work at NYU and loves auditing classes at Williams.
