Victoria Clark Music Theater Master Class
Actor, director, and educator Victoria Clark offers a master class in music theater for Williams students. Open to the public, this is a chance to experience the interaction between student and master.
Ms. Clark’s career on stage and screen, as well as in the directors seat and in the classroom, includes acting on Broadway: Gigi (Tony nomination), Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Tony nom), The Snow Geese, Sister Act (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics noms),The Light in the Piazza (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Awards), Urinetown, Cabaret, Titanic , How To Succeed…, A Grand Night For Singing, Guys and Dolls, Sunday in the Park With George. Off Broadway: When the Rain Stops Falling (Drama Desk nom), The Marriage of Bette and Boo, A Prayer for My Enemy. Film: Cradle Will Rock, The Happening, Main Street, Harvest, Tickling Leo; and television: Homeland, Mercy, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU. Opera: The Grapes of Wrath at Carnegie Hall.
As a director she has worked with the Texas Opera Theater (Creator and Director of 8 original educational theater pieces, 2 seasons), Philadelphia Opera Theater (The Impresario), 92nd St. Y Lyrics and Lyricists Series (Serenade in Blue), Pace University (The Light in the Piazza), NAMT Music Theater Festival (The Trouble With Doug by William Aronson and Daniel Maté.)
Her academic credits include her appointment as Artist-in-Residence, Pace University 2015-16; Adjunct faculty at Yale University and Danish Academy of Musical Theater; Master Classes at Juilliard, Wright State University, University of Oklahoma, Interlochen Arts Academy, Harvard University, and many others.
