Williams Chamber Players

Williams College Department of Music presents Williams Chamber Players in a concert on Friday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the Williams College campus. This free event is open to the public.

The Williams Chamber Players present Arvo Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel. and his work Fratres, as well as two works by J.S. Bach:  Zerfliesse mein Herz, from St John Passion, BWV 245, and Hier in meines Vaters Stätte.

After the intermission they present Arensky Piano Trio in D Minor, op. 32.
Featured musicians include Joanna Kurkowicz, violin; Doris Stevenson, piano; Erin Nafziger, soprano; Carl Jenkins, oboe; Calvin Ludwig ’18, flute; Ronald Feldman, cello; Edwin Lawrence, continuo; Keith Kibler, bass-baritone; Benjamin Mygatt ’19, violin; Elizabeth Morse, harp; and Nathaniel Parke, cello
The Williams Chamber Players was founded in 1999 and is coordinated by Doris Stevenson. The Williams Chamber Players is a resident faculty chamber music ensemble at Williams. The ensemble offers performers and audiences the opportunity to explore chamber music over a range of periods and styles. Distinguished performance faculty share the joy of making music together to the delight of student and community audiences.
