Remembering Scott Smedinghoff '09

The Williams Department of Music remembers Scott Smedinghoff ’09, who passed away last week. As an undergraduate Scott spent countless hours making music with us. Our thoughts are with his family and all those he touched. As we mourn this terrible loss, we hold him in fondness and reflect on an incredible life.
He is being remembered Saturday at Rollins Chapel at Dartmouth College, where he was studying for a PhD in Math.
The memorial service will be followed by a reception hosted by the College mathematics department.

Saturday, January 23, 2019, 11:00 a.m.
Rollins Chapel, Dartmouth College, College Street (northeast corner of the Green), Hanover, NH

All singers will be warmly welcomed to join the choir directed by Jennifer Yocom, choir director at Lyme Congregational Church (where Scott was organist before Thetford Hill). Singers are invited to gather at the chapel as close to 9:30 a.m. as they can, given travel and other challenges. It is anticipated that music will include “Ah Lord When My Last End Is Come” from St John Passion and “Jesu Priceless Treasure.” Sheet music / hymnbooks will be available at the chapel.
