Jonathan Dely ’15 offers a master class for trumpet and jazz students on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 4:15pm in the Bernhard Music Center, Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall. Williams in conjunction with his appearance at The Clark (on Saturday October 15 at 7pm, contact the Clark for more information.) Jonathan is an award-winning trumpet soloist from New York, New York. Named a finalist in the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Competition, the National Trumpet Competition, and the Yamaha Performing Artist Competition, Jonathan graduated with Latin honors from Williams College, where he was awarded the Arthur Judson Prize in Music, and from Manhattan School of Music, where he earned his Master’s degree on scholarship.
Jonathan declined a full-time investment banking position on Wall Street in order to pursue his dream of becoming a solo trumpet artist and has since become a prolific performer at venues including Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Blue Note New York, The 2019 and 2020 NAMM Show, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Princeton Club of New York, The Clark Art Institute, Cold Spring Harbor Performing Arts Center, and many other venues across the United States. Jonathan is recognized as a rising star, with he and his world-class band in high demand for events ranging from private engagements to ticketed concerts.
